Scenarios of Evolving Global Order

Organization: Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI)
Design Team: CIGI In-House Design
Project Type: Editorial Design, Visual Identity & Event Design

Project Overview
Scenarios of Evolving Global Order is a CIGI special report exploring five possible futures for the international system. The research examines how shifting political, economic, and technological forces could reshape global power and international cooperation. The report was accompanied by a conference and a series of visual materials developed across print, digital, and event platforms.

The Challenge
The challenge was to translate five complex and uncertain global scenarios into a clear and engaging visual identity without suggesting a single predictable outcome. The design needed to communicate the evolving nature of global power while maintaining a consistent visual language adaptable to different formats, platforms, and audiences.

My Approach
I developed a flexible visual system using dots and circles to represent shifting global relationships and power structures. Their movement and changing arrangements reflected the unpredictable nature of the five scenarios. A vibrant colour palette introduced diversity and visual energy, while motion graphics brought the concept of continuous change to life. This approach transformed a complex geopolitical subject into a recognizable and adaptable visual language across the report, presentations, and conference materials.
